Community Photo Challenge-Our Personal Challenge

Our Personal Challenge
Michael Staley said it perfectly....."There is no challenge more challenging than the challenge to improve yourself"
This next challenge will be ANYTHING that you want it to be, but it must be something new to you. I have decided to work on a few different types of photography this summer. I am concentrating on HDR & digital Infrared photography. HDR stands for High Dynamic Range. You use bracketing on your camera & Photomatix to transform your images into HDR. Visit Trey Ratcliff @ Stuck In Customs & scroll down to his video at Google.
Infrared Photography has always been an interest for me since the late 1970s, but now with digital, it is done a lot differently...
These are my personal challenges.... What are yours??
With the summer approaching & a low participation anticipated.....we will make this a 2 1/2 month challenge. You have 2 1/2 months to challenge yourself.....& post here. On your blog, post as many images as you want with an explanation of your goal, & what you've accomplished. You can go into detail, if you want. When you post here, it can only be of one image.
Your challenge could be very simple, does not have to be difficult. If your new to photography you can concentrate on "composition", or "Black & White Photography" OR even RAW images
The idea it to select something that you will learn from. Youtube.com has many tutorials. Google anything that you might want to improve on & see what comes up.
Here are some suggestions.....Macro, Bokeh, Color, Black & White, Infrared, HDR, Composition, Textures, Portraits, Still Lifes, Nature, Underwater photography, Night photography, RAW images.....the list is endless. Just select something that is new to you.
Have fun!!! Ü

Community Photo Challenge-COLOR

This month's subject is color...but NOT just color. We want to see you create something special color-wise. Something your camera did not see. Something you saw in the photo and created in post processing.
There are a lot of ways color can be used:
1. Selective color...create a black and white or other monochrome photo with just a touch of color...blue eyes, a child's red jacket, whatever you choose, but make most of the image monochrome.
2. Play with the different color modes in your photo editing software. Create a duotone, or make a monochrome using something other than black & white or sepia.
You can post a colorful image... Can be of one color, 2 colors or MANY colors. You do not need any photo editing programs to join in.
